Stunning Shower, transformation, and Renovation

Custom Interior Flooring completed a full shower renovation in Fort Myers, FL for a homeowner who wanted a modern, long-lasting shower space. This project was a complete overhaul of the existing shower, starting with a full demolition and ending with a premium sliding glass door and new fixtures.

We began by demoing the entire shower area, removing the old tile and the existing membrane. Taking out the tile and membrane allowed us to see the underlying structure and make any necessary repairs before proceeding. Removing those layers is an important step to ensure the new waterproofing and tile are installed on a solid, prepared surface.

After demolition, our team prepared the shower for new waterproofing and tile. We applied a new waterproofing system to protect the walls and floor from moisture, then installed the new shower substrate where needed so the tile would adhere properly and perform well over time. Proper waterproofing is a key part of any shower renovation and helps prevent future leaks and damage.

With the waterproofing in place, we set new tile throughout the shower. The new tile installation was carried out carefully to produce clean grout lines and a consistent finish. Re-tiling refreshed the look of the shower and created an easy-to-clean surface for daily use.
